Staff Review:
I've never been a zombie fan before but Ryan does such a nice job with this series that I am hooked. Mary and her village are confined not only to the area inside the fences but to the strict rules of the Sisterhood who forbid anyone to venture beyond the borders because of the Unconsecrated--people who were once alive but have returned with an insatiable appetite to feed. But Mary is curious. She believes there is a body of water filled with salt, an ocean where people can live freely without the threat of becoming infected and she will risk everything--even love to find it.
