Staff Review:
The earth's orbit is thrown out of kilter, pushing it closer and closer to the sun. The temperature is a constant one hundred degrees plus. A woman witnesses the deterioration of society as people struggle to find water, relief from the heat and to keep hold of sanity. Based on an episode from the classic TV series "The Twilight Zone," Rod Serling's script gets a modern update in the form of a graphic novel. Colored artwork gives added dimension to the original TV episode, allowing different perspectives to this doomsday scenario. The characters are not as "sympathetic" as those in the original, but perhaps that's the point: The constant heat and the feeling that the end is near changes people, and sometimes for the worse.
