Public Transportation - CTran, Route 501 (Clayton Transit) stops hourly at the corner of Forest Parkway and West Street, a short walking distance from the Forest Park Branch. Refer to the CTran web site or call (770) 472-8800 for more details.

• Library Facts

The Forest Park Branch Library is the second oldest branch of the Clayton County Libraries. Built on land donated by the City of Forest Park in 1967, it is the only Clayton County Library Branch housed in a two-story structure. The library offers a wide selection of popular fiction genres and non-fiction reading and research materials. Our rapidly growing Juvenile and Young Adult collections feature popular authors, characters, graphic novels and manga series.

The collection also features a growing collection of Spanish language books for adults and children. Patrons can search the PINES Catalog at three OPAC terminals. Current and back issues of popular magazines can be requested at the Circulation desk. Family friendly programs and movie screenings are presented each month.

Programs consist of a storytime and craft centered on a holiday or event theme. Additional programs are offered on occasion. Please see our Events Calendar for details. Computer access is our most popular service. Fourteen public computers are equipped with Internet Explorer for internet access and Microsoft Office for document, spreadsheet and PowerPoint creation.

The computers also provide access to GALILEO, Live Homework Help and Learning Express Library’s Test Preparation. Two games computers are reserved for small children.

Teen Zone is now open at the Forest Park Branch Library for teens ages 13-19. This upstairs room has modern, comfortable, casual furniture, art supplies, games, and over 30 teen magazine titles.
