Teen Tech Week

Think you know a thing or two about technology, computers, or the internet? We’d like to test your knowledge with this scavenger hunt for tech-savvy teens. All completed scavenger hunts with all correct answers will be entered into a drawing. So pick up a scavenger hunt in the Young Adult section of the library during Teen Tech Week and submit the completed page to the Youth Services desk by March 13th. The winner will be announced on Monday, March 15th.

Microsoft Word/Internet for Spansh Speakers

Regina Vasquez will teach Microsoft Word and Internet Classes for Spanish speakers. Due to the limited space, only six people will be allowed per class. This class is for adults only.

3:30 PM-5:30 PM Leaders of Tomorrow (L.O.T.) Tutoring/Mentoring Program Series

Free tutoring series for elementary, middle, and high school students. Offered by the volunteers from the B.A.S.I.C. Empowerment Corporation, a non-profit organization. This organization strives to meet the academic needs of the students in our community. There will be tutoring, homework assistance, and academic enrichment exercises. Registration is for the whole series and is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. A parent MUST complete a parental permission form and a registration form either prior to participation or on the first day of participation.

This series is planned to last at least through the 2009 --2010 school year.

Only 20 students may participate and once that many have registered, a waiting list will be taken.

The Clayton County Library System is providing space for this program as a public service. All questions about this series must be communicated directly to B.A.S.I.C. Empowerment Corporation via email or by phone.
6:00 PM - 6:45 PM Car Accidents: The Right Insurance at the Right Time

Baby Talk!

This program is an hour of one-on-one interactive play, songs, finger plays, rhymes, Souns® and book sharing time for parents, caregivers, or grandparents with their young ones. To learn more about go to www.souns.org.
You must register in advance. However, you need only register one time for the entire series.

This program is for children ages newborn-20 months. Due to the concern for the safety of these young children, older children, up to age 6, may not accompany the Baby Talk attendees. Alternate arrangements must be made for older children.
Preschool Story Time

Join Ms. Ramona every Thursday morning for stories, games, songs and more. For ages 3-5. Groups are welcome but must register in advance.
