10:30 AM-11:30 AM Preschool Story Time
Preschool story time will be offered every Wednesday for 3-6 year olds. Activities will include stories, songs, finger plays, movement, crafts, and movies. For more information and to register your child please call the library at 770-472-8129.
Groups are welcome but must register in advance.
12:00 PM - 12:30 PM Movies for Little Ones
Join us each month for a movie especially for our little patrons. In this month’s movie, a Dr. Seuss classic, this lovable creature who speaks for the trees, is trying to stop the profit-greedy Once-ler from destroying the forest.
An activity page will be given out after the movie to take home.
You may bring a snack or brown bag lunch.
Sign up in advance to reserve your seat.
Recommended for ages 4-8 years.

1:00 PM - 2:30 PM Living Well with Diabetes
Keith Spencer of the Georgia Medical Care Foundation will offer self-management tips for controlling and living with Diabetes. Discussion will include diet, exercise and healthy choices for those diagnosed with the disease.
3:30 PM-5:30 PM Leaders of Tomorrow (L.O.T.) Tutoring/Mentoring Program Series
Free tutoring series for elementary, middle, and high school students. Offered by the volunteers from the B.A.S.I.C. Empowerment Corporation, a non-profit organization. This organization strives to meet the academic needs of the students in our community. There will be tutoring, homework assistance, and academic enrichment exercises. Registration is for the whole series and is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. A parent MUST complete a parental permission form and a registration form either prior to participation or on the first day of participation.
This series is planned to last at least through the 2009 --2010 school year.
Only 20 students may participate and once that many have registered, a waiting list will be taken.
The Clayton County Library System is providing space for this program as a public service. All questions about this series must be communicated directly to B.A.S.I.C. Empowerment Corporation via email or by phone.
7:00 PM-7:30 PM Pajama Rama: Evening Family Story Time
Come have fun with us while we explore new stories each week. You may wear your pajamas, bring a blanket or stuffed animal. Pajamas are optional.
No registration required.

Computer Basics Lab
Prerequisites: Any of the Computer Basics Part 1-Part 5 classes
This session is available as additional practice time for students who have taken any of the Computer Basics Part 1 - Part 5. Students will use this time to review and improve the skills learned so far. We recommend that students bring their workbooks from the classes they have taken. No formal training will be provided, but an instructor will be available to answer questions.
