9:30 AM-11:30 AM Circle of Life Classes

Circle of Life classes are classes geared for the soul, mind, and body. Soul, mind, and body medicine is a breakthrough teaching and healing system that promotes self healing, rejuvenation and transformation of the soul, the mind , and the body. Every class presents techniques and demonstrations on how to apply various practices to transform all aspects of life. Classes are taught by Alma Boykin-Thomas and Bill Thomas, certified soul healers and teachers. This is a series and is recommended for adults.
Basic French Classes for Children

This class taught by Ms. Anne-Marie will include learning colors, days of the week, counting, greetings, basic vocabulary and more. Parents, please be advised that in order for your child to benefit from this class they plan on attending every Saturday. Pencils, paper and a notebook is required for each class Recommended for children ages 8-12 ONLY.
1:00 PM-1:45 PM Cuentos y Libros/Stories & Books

Each Saturday, stories will be read in both English and in Spanish. Talented bilingual volunteers will read stories in Spanish and library staff will read in English. The program will end with a craft. For the whole family.

Participarán estudiantes talentosas, que leerán en ambos idiomas (español e inglés). Después de la activad de lectura, los participantes harán una actividad manual. Estas actividades son gratis para toda la familia. Esta es una gran oportunidad de aprender inglés para unos y español para otros. Pueden participar desde los niños hasta los abuelos de su familia.

Come enjoy a family-friendly movie at the Jonesboro Branch Library. Parents or caregivers welcome to come too and need to stay with younger children during the movie. Light refreshments served during the movie.

10:30 AM-11:30 AM Play Dough

Hey kids! Got money? Find out what to do with it. This four-week financial literacy program is presented by The Literacy for Youth Foundation. This Program is designed to educate young children on saving money, how to balance a check book, how to complete a deposit slip, what is banking, what is credit and how does credit work. The students will have an opportunity to open a savings account in their name!

Note: The program will include a field trip on February 13th, and the last class to be held on March 6th. The field trip will be arranged directly with Demeitrice Collins, Literacy for Youth Foundation, and parents must provide their own transportation.
