Events at Forest Park Branch

The Forest Park Branch of the Clayton County Library System presents:

A Reading of Charles Dickens’ Ghostly Christmas Classic
Saturday, December 16 at 2 PM at the Forest Park Branch Library.

A Christmas Carol

From 1853 to his death in 1870, Charles Dickens performed readings from his works to audiences throughout England and the United States. The most attended of his readings was “A Christmas Carol,” his most popular and beloved novel. For timing and to facilitate his performances, Dickens created a prompt book for himself by cutting passages from book copies and pasting them onto blank pages.

A Christmas Carol

Forest Park’s reading is based on one of Dickens’ public reading versions, and will be as good as a performance as one by Dickens himself!

Saturday, December 16 at 2 PM at the Forest Park Branch Library - 696 Main Street, Forest Park, GA 30297.
