Talented bilingual volunteers will read stories in Spanish and library staff will read in English. The program will end with a craft. For the whole family. Participarán estudiantes talentosas, que leerán en ambos idiomas (español e inglés). Después de la activad de lectura, los participantes harán una actividad manual. Estas actividades son gratis para toda la familia. Esta es una gran oportunidad de aprender inglés para unos y español para otros. Pueden participar desde los niños hasta los abuelos de su familia. |
| Tue, 7 Sep 2010 10:00 -0400 Kids Family Storytime for Toddlers For toddlers, ages 21-36 months. Enjoy interactive stories, songs, action verse and an extended activity. Advance registration is required but it is necessary to register ONLY ONE TIME for the entire series. You may register for a series any time, in person, by email, or by telephone. Parents must remain in the story time with their children. This series will run through October 19th. PLEASE NOTE: This story time series is for families only and we regret that we can not permit child care groups to attend this story time series. However, the library does schedule story times on other weekdays specifically for both in-home and center child care groups. Please ask staff for scheduling details. |

The county has made that day a furlough day and the library will be closed. The class has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 7.*** Computer Basics - Part 1 of 5 This class is intended for adults who have very limited or no experience with computers. The class will provide an overview of the parts of a computer, how to use a keyboard, how to use a mouse, and how to navigate between windows (using the Microsoft Windows XP operating system). The class will include a brief introduction to document creation (with Microsoft Word), web browsing (with Microsoft Internet Explorer), using program menus, and creating, saving, and organizing files.
