Cuentos y Libros/Stories & Books

When: Saturday, May 19 at 1:00 PM
Where: Headquarters Branch
Description:

Each Saturday, stories will be read in both English and in Spanish. Talented bilingual volunteers will read stories in Spanish and library staff will read in English. The program will end with a craft. Free for the whole family.

Participarán estudiantes talentosas, que leerán en ambos idiomas (español e inglés). Después de la activad de lectura, los participantes harán una actividad manual. Preschool Story Time

Description: Preschool story time will be offered every Wednesday for 3-6 year olds. Activities will include stories, songs, finger plays, movement, crafts, and movies. For more information and to register your child please call the library at 770-472-8129. Groups are welcome but must register in advance.

"The Story of Ferdinand" as told with Flamenco Dance

When: Wednesday, May 23 at 11:00 AM
Where: Headquarters Branch
Description: Dream Big…Olé! Even tough bulls have big dreams. Come find out what Ferdinand the Bull dreams about and walk away swirling your hands and stomping your feet like a flamenco dancer. This bilingual program, presented by Julie Baggenstoss, includes a performance and demonstration of flamenco dance, including a flamenco dance interpretation of The Story of Ferdinand. Also, kids learn a few flamenco dance moves and hear a reading of Ferdinand’s story.
Ages 3-10 years. Advance registration is needed due to limited space and seating.

This time slot is especially for child care centers, groups and camps. Advance registration is required due to limited space and supplies.
