Resources for Educators
The staff of the Clayton County Library System are happy to assist those in the educational and academic fields. We provide the following services and materials. If there is any other way the library can assist you please do not hesitate to ask!Services offered:
- Assignment Alerts
- Assignment Alert provides the library with accurate information about your students' research projects and large class assignments. We want to work with you and your students to make learning a rewarding and productive experience.
- We may be able to assist with supplemental resources other than those found through your school's library and may be able to place materials on temporary reserves for up to two weeks. See the Assignment Alert Request Form for more information.
- Live Homework Help from Tutor.com available in both English and Spanish.
- Story times or other programs for child care centers, home-based child care groups, public and private schools and home school groups (advanced registration required). See the Library Events Calendar for upcoming events
- Library Tours (to schedule a tour, contact the branch manager of the branch of your choice)
- Vacation Reading Program
- Subscriptions to Professional Electronic Resources through GALILEO (password required) and a compilation of web resources.
Materials offered:
- Various Issues of Mailbox, and other teaching materials
- Activity and Craft Books
- Accelerated Reading Lists (those made available online by school media specialists and older print versions provided by schools).
Attention Clayton County Media Specialists and Teachers - Do you need your AR List online? As part of a subscription to Readthebooks.com, the Clayton County Library System can put your reading list online, sortable by points, reading level, author and title for a $30 fee.
