What happens if I do not pay my fines and fees?
When library materials are overdue, lost, or damaged, they are not available for other people to check out, which is unfair to the entire community. Replacing lost or damaged materials is costly and takes money away from purchasing new materials for the collection. To be fiscally responsible and protect the taxpayers' dollars, the library must make every effort to ensure that library materials remain available to the community.
What happens if you owe more than $10?
If a library card holder's account has a balance of $10 or more, the library card cannot be used to checkout or renew materials or to reserve a computer.
