General Resources
- GA College411 - This site developed in collaboration with multiple state agencies is essential for students looking at schools in Georgia. It includes useful information about the HOPE Scholarship and other financial aid opportunities for Georgia residents. GA College 411 is a mentoring site as well with a wealth of online resources to help students and their families select a college, navigate the admissions process and financial aid opportunities.
- CollegeBoard.com - Get your college search organized early. This site enables you to set up a free account and create an "action plan" that will keep you on task as you prepare to find the right school.
- Petersons.com - Another good site that will help you stay focused on finding the right school for you. The site is divided into four sections: Get Started, Find The Right School, Prepare For Tests and Pay For School.
Guidance And Counseling
- Clayton County Schools - Probably the best resource at your disposal is the Guidance Counselor at the school you attend. Visit the Clayton County Schools Guidance and Counseling web site to learn about advisement dates, locate contact information for your advisor and find additional web sites that will assist you in your hunt for the perfect school.
Finding The Right School
- CollegeSource Online features over 20,000 college catalogs in complete cover-to-cover, original page format representing 2-year, 4-year, graduate and professional schools along with institutional profiles for all accredited colleges in the United States. The database may be searched by college name, major, enrollment, tuition, degrees, state, or affiliation. There are links to: college home pages, career information, and financial aid information. Recent enhancements include catalogs for non-U.S. schools and a "Quick Start" tutorial.

Non GALILIEO users may access the rest of the site at: http://www.collegesource.org. - GA College 411 - A subsection of GA College 411 is worth mentioning again. It gives overviews, offers comparison tools and online tours of the 104 colleges in Georgia (public and private) that qualify for state funded financial aid. Two Year, Four Year and Technical schools are included.
- Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education - Find the right Technical college in Georgia. Searchable by region, degree type, majors offered, financial aid opportunities and enrollment size.
Financial Aid
- Ga College 411 - Get the run down on what college really costs and what opportunities are available for Georgia residents. A scholarship matching wizard will help you determine what opportunities you are eligible for. After setting up an account, you can even apply for certain types of loans directly from GA College 411.
- Federal Student Aid - Go straight to the source and set up a FAFSA account with the U.S. Department of Education's site for free information on preparing for and funding your education. Applications for Federal Financial Aid are also downloadable from the site.
- FastWeb - One of the largest scholarship sites on the internet. Registration is required.
- FinAid - Tips to help you get a handle on financial aid and understand the terminology involved. An online calculator will help you estimate how much its all going to cost.

- LearningExpress Library - Practice tests and electronic test preparation books for many official exams including the SAT and ACT.
