Literature Resource Center - An inclusive, authoritative collection of critical essays and biographies. Literature Resource Center is interdisciplinary and places influential works and authors in both historical and societal context. In addition to being a comprehensive resource for information about American authors, it includes more than 17,000 biographies of authors from outside the U.S. This subscription database is available both within any of our six branch locations and remotely from anywhere you have an internet connection (password required)

Georgia Authors
New Georgia Encyclopedia (Literature Section) - NGE is an authoritative source for information about Georgia history, culture, economics, geography and biographical information . The literature section of the encyclopedia contains biographies of important Georgia authors and overviews of specific works.

Electronic Texts on-line
NetLibrary provides access to thousands electronic books (eBooks), including reference books, scholarly monographs, publications of many university presses, and consumer books that have been converted into digital format. It is possible to perform full-text searches of a single eBook, search thousands of volumes simultaneously, browse topic categories, or read eBooks directly online. There is no checkout period for eBooks.

Perseus Project- Electronic texts of classic Greek and Roman works up through the English Renaissance.
Project Gutenberg - The original repository for electronic books now includes over 20,000 titles available for download and counting. All of the titles are in the public domain.
African American Women Writers of the 19th Century - Hosted by the New York Public Library, this is a searchable digital collection of 52 published works by 19th-century black women writers.
Georgia Historic Books - An initiative of the Digital Library of Georgia, GALILEO and various manuscript and rare rare book archives, Georgia Historic Books contains full-text, fully searchable books related to Georgia's history and culture. Most are from the 19th to early 20th century and focus on Georgia history, biography, and literature.
