Got a Drive to Drive?
If you need to comply with the new Joshua’s Law requirement of thirty hours of state-approved driver education before you get your driver’s license, Clayton County Library System is ready to help. Thanks to a grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, each of our six libraries is now equipped with two computer systems for the use of students taking driver training courses.
These computers are separate from general use public computers available at each library.
We have a comprehensive list of state-approved online driver’s courses in both print and electronic form. You and your parents can compare courses offerings and select the course that best suits your needs. After you have signed up with the online driver training provider, you will have priority scheduling for these designated computers.
While you’re in the library, you can even reserve the computer for a future one-hour driver education session that fits your schedule. Best of all, we’re open during most school holidays and teacher work days, as well as all summer, and most evenings.
