Volunteer opportunities abound with the Library System. We are always on the look out for individuals interested in gaining experience in the library profession. Please contact the branch manager at the location you are interested in working at for details.
Book Sale Volunteers: The Friends of the Library often need volunteers to assist with the set-up of the monthly Friends of the Library Book Sale. Please contact LaDonna Markland at (770) 473-3850 for details.
Youth Volunteers: Youth, ages 12 to 18, are encouraged to volunteer at the public library to earn community service hours, gain useful job experience, and give back to the community by helping make the library a better place. All youth volunteers must attend a mandatory orientation session. Once trained, volunteers help with various projects such as preparing materials for storytimes, straightening shelves and books, assisting children with computers, cleaning materials such as toys, help with special events and programs, and assisting people with the Summer Reading Program during the summer. If you are interested in becoming a youth volunteer, pick up an application at any of our libraries.
