Teen Tuesday: Vision Book Workshop

Description:

Life doesn’t have to just happen.  Shape your own future with a “vision book.”  Create your core values, goals, and aspirations and make them come alive with creativity and flair.  This creative process is both fun and will help you to become the person that you want to be.  Join teen, Sydney-Alyce Bourget, as she guides you through the process and shares her successes with you!

For ages 12-15.

Beneath the Surface Career Series: Music Production 101

When: Tuesday, June 18 at 5:00 PM

Description: Have you ever wondered how music is made in today's technologically produced music?  Have you ever wondered what tools are used, and the process that many of today's top music producers take when making music for your favorite artist?  This Teen session will do just that...see what programs are used to make music such as logic, reasons, or fruity loops...see what tools are needed for setting up a microphone to record vocals...see how an actual song is constructed from start to finish.  After this session...you'll know what it takes to set-up your own studio and make your own music.

"Why Try?" Youth Series

Teen Tuesday: Altered Book Art

Description:

Turn an old book into a unique piece of art! 

An altered book is a form of mixed media artwork that changes a book from its original form into a different form, altering its appearance and/or meaning. Participants will learn techniques and will take home a finished product.

There are no rules to altered book art.  Go “beneath the surface” of the covers of a book and let your imagination soar!

For ages 12-18

Limited spaces and supplies are available, so come in, call, or email in advance to reserve your seat.
