Description from their site: "Tips 4 Teens was established in response to the skyrocketing rates of teenage pregnancy, increased school dropout rates, drug use and violence. Our programs integrate Glasser’s Choice and Beck’s Cognitive Behavioral concepts. Both theories combined have been found to change maladaptive self-defeating behaviors, negative thought processes, improve self-esteem and help youth build closer relationships with care takers and others. Tips 4 Teens’ provide enrichment activities, tutoring, and mentoring programs. Through positive direction and interaction, our programs serve as a support system and resource for students and families with an end goal of maximizing their level of achievement. Our goal is to expose youth to new experiences and to bring awareness about family, the community, education, health and wellness, and economic empowerment."
